Abstract

To examine risk factors in adolescence for elevated blood pressure and hypertension in early adulthood in four racial/ethnic groups. While the prevalence of hypertension among American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/ANs) is one of the highest among racial/ethnic groups in the US, little is known about the most important risk factors for hypertension in this population.
