Abstracts may be submitted online beginning Monday, February 1, 2027. Abstracts must be submitted by 11:59PM EST April 12, 2027.

We encourage you to submit an abstract for the 2027 Add Health Users Conference, to be held at the Neuroscience Building on the NIH Campus in Rockville, Maryland.

Any presentation using Add Health data is welcome, including both substantive & methodological topics. We strongly urge abstracts that:

• Use Wave VI data
• Examine health disparities
• Study genetic and environmental influences on health and behavior
• Use biomarker data
• Use longitudinal social, behavioral, and environmental data
• Use cognitive data
• Study life course trajectories of health
• Use data from the Add Health Parent Study

When Submitting Your Abstract

• For substantive presentations: Describe research questions and hypotheses; the specific Add Health data used; and research plan, including key variables and analytic approach. Briefly describe key results and include up to 2 figures/tables.

• For methodological presentations: Describe benefits of new methodology within the context of Add Health; describe your aims and analytic approach. Briefly describe key results and include up to 2 figures/tables.

• Abstract submissions should be 500 up to 1000 words, with no more than 2 figures/tables.

• We will email the Add Health listserv with conference updates and additional information. If you would like to join the listserv, please sign up on the Add Health website. Conference information can also be found by visiting the conference website.

Travel and Expenses

You may apply for a stipend when submitting your abstract. Preferences will be given to currently enrolled graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career faculty and researchers (i.e., <10 years since Ph.D. degree).

Eligibility for travel stipends (all 3 eligibility criteria must be met):

1. No other sources of funding to attend the conference
2. Currently enrolled in graduate or post-doctoral training OR serving as an assistant professor.
3. Interest in travel stipend must be indicated on the abstract form.
