Abstract

We utilize the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health to understand how respondents’ shifting social networks and place-based factors influence their college trajectories and migration decisions post-college. We find strong and supportive patterns of school-based relationships are associated with both college-going and return mobility of middle-aged respondents.
